Just a reminder...starting tomorrow the MYSTERY SHOW, exhibiting 55 small works by 55 different artists, will begin. You can see all pieces online at redartgallery.ca. If you see anything you like, stop by the gallery to get a better look between August 8 to 11. Then on August 11, let the buying begin.
Every summer we try to pack in as much as we can whenever we can. So we said good bye to July on yet another little getaway. This time we went up island. My sister has a large, luxury RV up in Parksville which she let us use for a few days. We spent some time at the river. Went on the obligatory outing to Coomes. And we were lucky to see the finished sand castles from this year's Sand Castle competition. When we weren't out seeing the Parksville sites, we were hanging out at the RV watching the Olympics.
Have you been watching the Olympics? We've watched a lot. Turns out we know a few of the Olympic athletes. Sean taught swimming medalist Ryan Cochrane. Macy's friend's dad is rower Dave Calder who was going for gold in the men's pair. Rower, Lindsay Jennerich and swimmer, Riley McCormick were both Sean's former students as well. Knowing some of the athletes sure makes it more exciting. The girls have loved watching them too. So inspiring!
I'll be watching the closing ceremonies next Sunday. Will you?
Have a great week and let me know if you had a chance to stop by the gallery.
