It seems to happen over night, sometime around the third week of August every year...one day it is hot and sunny, next there is chill in the air that signals the end of summer. I find it hard to believe it is already Labour day. I will be busy getting school supplies ready and mentally preparing for having to pack lunches once again...one of my pet peeves. But we also plan on having some fun this Labour Day. We are going to the annual Saanich Fair out at the Saanichton Fair grounds. And this year the girls have submitted paintings, photographs, a loaf of bread, and beets from our garden. The girls are eager to see if they have won any prizes...very unlikely, but still exciting to see their work hanging for all to see. Should be fun.
Speaking of labour, my lovely sister-in-law recently gave birth to our first niece and Macy and Emmy's first girl cousin. She is a beautiful, heathly, lovely little girl with a lot of hair.
Welcome to the world, Zoe! Congratulations, Caitlin and Carman!
Happy Labour Day!!
