Sean and I had an art-filled Saturday afternoon. We hadn't planned it that way, but we found ourselves without the girls for a few hours, so we took advantage of this girl-free time and took in the various art shows that we had been meaning to see.
First we went to family friend, Bonnie McComb Kreye's show, Pathways, at Gallery 1580. The gallery is filled with Bonnie's beautiful abstracts with more red dots than not. Pathways runs until April 27.
Next, we headed downtown to the LOOK show. Sean hadn't been yet. Over 400 pieces this year. There really is something for everyone at this show. Only one week left. It ends on April 27.
And then finally, we checked out a couple of studios from the Oak Bay Studio Tour. It is that time of year again. Oak Bay always kicks off studio tour season. The Oak Bay Studio Tour ends Sunday, April 21. If you've never been to a studio tour before and would like to, this is one of the best. RED Art Gallery is always a part of this tour.
MY ART: I've been working on a new series recently. I will start posting them soon. I have a couple of small paintings finished and working a few larger ones.
Enjoy your weekend...art-filled or not.
